Things eventually ground to a halt after running down for what seemed like forever.

As ball races fell silent John Dodson duly marked the stopping point.

Colin Prewer was holding first place with Mike Taylor second a few yards behind.

Then Graham Brodie rolled a few inches past for second, but was in turn beaten squarely in to third by Martin Read who stopped only a few feet back from the winner.
     
Only the four managed to descend to the bottom. Others came to a halt on the previous summit, some only inches from the top.

Best part of the day was the food a t the finish where eveyone tucked in.

4th: Mike Taylor
